About us
We’ve held English classes at Taringa Baptist Church since 1999. Over the past 24 years we’ve taught 1000s of students including migrants, refugees, working holiday makers, guardians, students, spouses of students, visiting lecturers and au pairs.
Over the years students have come from China, Korea, Taiwan, Colombia, Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Germany, France, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, Venezuela, Chile, Mongolia, Japan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Austria, Syria, Malaysia, Italy, Spain and more.
At our conversation classes we focus on speaking everyday English through interaction and fun. Classes are also a great place to make new friends.

Our teaching team includes teachers with TESOL qualifications, multi-lingual teachers and teachers who have spoken English all their lives. All are passionate about making English come alive through creative, student-focused lessons.
